Job Description

The Company

  • The role is with a leading, forward-thinking consultancy based in Mount Maunganui that specialises in civil engineering, 3 waters, environmental engineering, land development, surveying and planning.
  • Due to the continued growth of their business they are looking for a Civil Technician/Designer.
  • The company does a combination of local NZ projects and also international aid projects across the Cook Islands, Nepal and other countries.
  • As part of your role you will work on a variety of projects across NZ and internationally.


The Role
As a Civil Technician, you’ll assist with the design of a wide range of land development projects of varying scope and complexity.

Projects typically include:
· Roading and landform design of small to large residential and industrial projects on greenfield and brownfield sites
· Water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation and treatment
· Concept through detailed design, consenting, contract management, and construction observation.

About You

  • 1 -10+ years experience as a Civil Technician ideally in land development works.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Good attitude and someone who is willing to learn and grow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant Codes of Practice, NZ Standards, technical publications and guidelines.
  • NZ work rights, or the ability to obtain them.
