The Venue

At Amano we are passionate about delivering rustic, Italian-inspired fare with a focus on provenance. Our backbone is seasonal, sustainable and local produce from New Zealand growers and farmers. Simply prepared, humbly served food connected to its origin is served in a relaxed space that lets you enjoy on your terms. Find us on the dazzling Waitemata Harbour. The space spans Britomart’s historic Altrans and Quay buildings. Our bakery and restaurant are now part of the rich history of this beautiful site.

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals to step into the role of Chef de Partie in our Prep, Larder, Breakfast, Entree and Seafood sections! You will need to have at least 2 years of experience in a comparable role, the ability to work well under pressure, the flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests!

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • The operation of your appointed kitchen section
  • Quality execution of all food offerings
  • Contributing to the overall customer experience
  • Assisting in the execution of stock management including, ordering, receiving, storing, rotation, portion control and wastage
  • Meeting and exceeding Savor standards of quality and consistency
  • Adhering to health and safety, food control plan, and company policies
  • Guiding junior staff members
  • Adhering to tasks as requested by the Head Chef and senior team members
