As a member of the People & Culture (P&C) Leadership Tīma (Team), you’ll play a key role in contributing to the development of BNZ’s colleague priorities – ensuring strong alignment to the achievement of the BNZ Strategy.
The GM Leadership, Culture & Wellbeing will provide strategic thought-leadership, translating into pragmatic initatives for leadership, culture and wellbeing. This tīma, will have a strong focus on the integrated leadership and culture strategies, working closely with the People Partnering teams for delivery. They will also provide expertise in organisational culture transformation and leadership development, weaving healthy workplace practices (including Health & Safety) throughout the suite of culture and leadership interventions.
This is an Auckland based opportunity.

What are day-to-day tasks GM Leadership, Culture & Wellbeing is responsible for?
- Cultural Change: Develop and implement strategies to drive a culture of performance, continuous improvement, and adaptability across BNZ. You will leverage data and insights to assess the health of our culture and areas for focus with the executive team.
- Leadership Growth: Develop and embed programmes that build and grow strong leadership capability within BNZ, enabling a culture of performance, continuous learning and improvement. Through BNZ’s Leadership Coaches, you’ll ensure core disciplines in relation to Operating Rhythms, Planning, and Accountability are a part of our DNA. Accountable for enterprise talent management and succession planning, including talent assessment frameworks.
- Wellbeing and Safety: Develop and oversee strategies to promote employee wellbeing and ensure health & safety compliance, fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
