Job Description

Our client is a prominent name in the health sector, delivering an excellent track record with nationwide reach and forming part of a wider Australian listed entity. We are seeking an Inventory Manager who is a specialist in their field, rather than an operationally focused manager.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering specific KPIs within inventory management, ensuring that all targets are met efficiently. You will lead and communicate effectively with stakeholders in management roles, making informed decisions and providing strategic recommendations.
A key part of your responsibilities will be to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including issues with physical stock, returns, out-of-date, expired, damaged, and blocked stock. You will track the root causes of these issues and present solutions to improve efficiencies, supporting warehouse operations with accurate inventory management.
Your proactive problem-solving skills and ability to articulate and demonstrate inventory imbalances will be crucial in optimising processes and aligning physical stock with WMS inventory systems.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of solid inventory specialist experience.
  • Expertise in SAP/similar ERP and handling physical stock discrepancies.
  • Ability to balance and investigate data issues.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate and demonstrate inventory imbalances.
  • Experience in FMCG or 3PL environments.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with WMS inventory systems.

About the Role:

  • This is a newly created role to complement a process mapping project and will grow and develop across two sites.
  • The successful candidate will be an expert in inventory management, proactive in identifying and managing issues, and capable of making strategic recommendations.
  • The role involves optimisation, review, and the use of new tools to align physical stock with WMS inventory.

We are only considering applicants who have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand indefinitely.
