About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Hotel Receptionist to join our team. This is not just a desk job; it’s an all-around position where no two days are the same. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to work independently and willing to assist in various areas of hotel operations, including small maintenance tasks and housekeeping when necessary.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • delivering a great first impression to guests including check-in/check-out, handling reservations and providing information about hotel services and local attractions,
  • managing administrative tasks; phone calls, emails, guest inquiries, maintaining records and processing payments,
  • addressing and resolving guest complaints and issues promptly and efficiently,
  • working closely with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience,
  • monitoring and reporting any safety or security concerns to the appropriate personnel,
  • assisting housekeeping staff with room turnovers, cleaning common areas, and ensuring overall cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel,
  • performing minor maintenance tasks to ensure guest comfort, such as changing light bulbs and troubleshooting basic issues,
  • organising and liaising with contractors for major maintenance issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.


The ideal candidate will bring/have:

  • previous experience in a hotel or customer service role is preferred,
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills,
  • a positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving,
  • the ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities with minimal supervision,
  • basic maintenance skills and a willingness to learn,
  • flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
