We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join a high-performing technical team for a 6-month contract. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support across virtualised server environments, applications, and systems. Your expertise in managing incidents, handling support requests, and ensuring compliance with security standards will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application/Client Support: Lead the management and response to incidents and service requests from end users and business representatives.
• Windows Server Engineering: Provide senior-level support for virtualised Windows Server environments (2008R2-2016) and manage system performance and availability.
• Linux Server Engineering: Oversee the administration, patching, and maintenance of Linux servers (primarily Red Hat 6) using CLI.
• Virtualization: Provide senior-level engineering for VMware and Hyper-V environments, ensuring seamless virtual machine management.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all engineering activities align with security policies and government regulations for handling sensitive information.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years in Application/Client Support: Proven expertise in managing incidents/requests and performing system optimizations.
• 4+ years in Windows Server Support: Strong experience with virtualised Windows Server environments and troubleshooting.
• 4+ years in Linux Server Support: Expertise in Linux administration, patching, and CLI management.
• 4+ years in Hypervisor Experience: Experience managing VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments.
• Security Clearance: Current Secret Level security clearance is required.
• Agile Experience: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe or similar frameworks.

Desirable Skills:

• DevSecOps Experience: Experience automating repeatable processes to improve efficiency.
• ITIL Knowledge: ITIL qualifications or demonstrable expertise in ITIL processes.
• Citrix Experience: Familiarity with Citrix XenApp or similar virtualized desktop environments.
• IT Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience in data center management, networks, and identity management.
