About the Roles:
BestStart Waiata Shores is on the lookout for two passionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our energetic, fun-loving team. These roles are pivotal in supporting our philosophy: "Adore the birds with feathers so that they may soar." If you have a natural connection with children, especially infants and toddlers, and are excited to be part of a supportive, play-based learning environment – we’d love to hear from you!
We have two permanent roles available:
Full-time (40 hours per week) – Monday to Friday
Part-time (25 hours per week) – Monday to Friday
What You’ll Do:
- Provide loving, attentive care and education to our tamariki
- Embrace and contribute to our vibrant centre culture
- Support child-led, play-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and creativity
- Engage with children, whānau, and team members with empathy and respect
- Step in to support across classrooms and staff breaks when needed
What You’ll Bring:
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Experience caring for children under five (an ECE qualification is not required)
- A collaborative and flexible attitude, with the confidence to take initiative and follow direction
- A commitment to creating inclusive, multicultural, and engaging environments
