About us | He kupu mō mātou

Fonterra Oceania is our newly formed entity that merges the Fonterra Brands New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra Australia operations, aimed at enhancing our competitive position in the trans-Tasman dairy market. The integration of Fonterra Brands New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra Australia builds on similarities to outperform the competition, create scale and synergies, and will strengthen our competitive edge. This role will join a team that helps to build an even stronger trans-Tasman dairy business with reach across Oceania and beyond.

We have three FBNZ operated sites in Takanini, Eltham and Palmerston North, and two central distribution centres in Auckland and Christchurch, with the largest chilled foods network across New Zealand.

About the opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

Our Halswell Junction Road site is looking for a motivated team member to join our Distribution team. This is a fantastic opportunity if you're serious about advancing your career and keen to be part of a highly motivated and supportive team. As an essential New Zealand food manufacturing business, never has it been more important for us to deliver to every New Zealander who is counting on us. In this hybrid role, as a Storeperson, you'll be trained to operate MHE in the cool and dry stores, process orders through manual handling and picking, with comprehensive training provided.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining food quality standards through regular product checks and stock rotation
• Managing inbound and outbound operations, including documentation and truck loading/unloading
• Operating forklifts and milk stackers in cool and dry store environments
• Picking and processing orders through manual handling (milk crates and food cartons)
• Maintaining cleanliness of storage areas and surrounding spaces

This is a full-time permanent role with a roster pattern of Sunday - Wednesday, 08:00am - 6:30pm.

About you | Mōu

Strong mechanical aptitude and sound problem-solving skills will ensure operations run smoothly - you'll not just identify problems but be part of finding and implementing solutions. Food manufacturing experience is ideal; however, we welcome machine operation experience from any industry.

Together with a collaborative spirit and strong work ethic, you'll bring experience in:

• Operating forklifts (counterbalance license required) and working with paperless WMS systems
• Maintaining high health and safety standards in a physical environment
• Working with computer systems (SAP experience desirable)
• Demonstrating physical capability to regularly lift 25kgs
• Contributing to a team-focused work environment
