The company provides expert RMA advice on a wide range of projects including infrastructure, public spaces roading, bridges, rail and buildings. Their talented, highly respected team of 200 bring unique and trusted knowledge to their wide pool of clients.
A future forward company they embrace change and the challenge of sharping the New Zealand of tomorrow. Due to continued growth and demand they have an opening for a Senior or Principal Planner for either of their Napier or New Plymouth offices depending on your preference.
The Role
- Provide technical planning support and leadership within the office and provide planning support to our other offices as required
- Provide expert RMA planning advice
- Provides a full package of planning and property advice to clients
- Work collaboratively alongside property, urban regeneration, development and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) teams.
- Diverse range of work you will be involved with includes securing resource consents for development projects, preparing notices of requirement for infrastructure projects, processing resource consents for local authorities, and preparing district plan changes
About You
- 10 years plus experience in Planning
- Local knowledge of the Napier or New Plymouth local planning framework preferred but not essential
- Strong technical planning experience in the Resource Management Act (RMA) and urban planning.
- Ideally local government or a private consultancy experience
- A passion for providing astute and practical planning advice
- Business development eye
- Strong relationship management experience
