Job Description

About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga

The Senior Compliance Officer (ETS) is responsible for ensuring forestry participants comply with ETS requirements through analysis, assessments, and providing compliance guidance.

Key duties include:

  • Liaising with forestry consultants and forest owners.
  • Managing high-value compliance cases.
  • Leading compliance projects and contributing to policy reviews.
  • Conducting investigative actions and preparing formal notices.


About You - Mōu

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as forestry, science, or economics. You must have experience working in a regulatory or compliance environment, with strong analytical skills and excellent written communication abilities. You should be adept at engaging with stakeholders and working collaboratively within a team.

About the Team - Mō tō mātou Rōpū

Join a diverse and collaborative team within Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with ETS requirements. The team values open communication and proactive problem-solving.
