Job Description

The Role:
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality and exceptional service? Do you have the experience and drive to oversee restaurant and event operations at a premier venue? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client as a Restaurant Manager.

Your responsibilities as a Restaurant Manager include but are not limited to:

Daily Operations:

  • Lead a team of Duty Managers and Part-Time employees to ensure smooth daily cafĂ© and event service.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and service for both daily operations and special events.
  • Oversee stock purchasing, storage, and rotation, ensuring cost targets are met
  • Ensure compliance with responsible service of alcohol policies and address any issues immediately.
  • Maintain FOH equipment and facilities in good working condition.


Event Service Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the face of the venue during events, ensuring seamless execution from setup to completion.
  • Meet with clients on event days to confirm details, timings, and billing processes.
  • Work closely with the Events Manager and Head Chef to coordinate planning and delivery.


Leadership & Human Resources:

  • Manage, train, and support all FOH staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Lead by example, providing direction and ensuring high service standards are upheld.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, information sharing, and continuous improvement.


Health & Safety:

  • Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate training on all relevant equipment.
  • Monitor the workplace for potential hazards and report any concerns.


Days and Hours
35-40 hours per week including regular weekend work

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hospitality management experience in FOH operations.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong adaptability and ability to manage changing responsibilities and environments.
  • Professional presentation and the ability to maintain a high standard under pressure.
