About the Role:
As a Traffic Controller you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic through worksites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up, managing, and packing down temporary traffic management sites
- Directing vehicles and pedestrians safely through work zones
- Using stop/go signs and radio communication to control traffic flow
- Assisting with road maintenance, construction, and public events
- Installing and removing road signs, cones, and barriers
- Monitoring traffic conditions and adjusting controls as needed
- Communicating with contractors, drivers, and site workers
- Strictly following health & safety regulations and reporting hazards
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay alert and make quick decisions
- Good physical fitness for outdoor work
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Preferred Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in traffic control/management
- STMS, TTM, TMO, or relevant certification (preferred)
- Reliable transport
- Minimum of two work references
- Ability to interpret drawings, markers, and verbal instructions
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
