About the role

Discover our fish processing division located in Timaru, central to mountains, lakes, and the sea. We process various fish species from our deep-water vessels and independent ACE fishers. Our facility operates three shifts daily to support day, night, and part-time operations, while our joint venture with San Won keeps the unloading of our vessels and storage facilities busy year-round. You will find a variety of our beautiful New Zealand seafood products in our retail shop located on site.

This is a casual role is located at the Timaru Port. Reporting into the Vessel Discharge Coordinator, the Discharge Assistant, will assist in the timely and accurate discharge of product from vessels by scanning and tallying product into cold storage facilities. This role will also some heavy lifting to assist with compliance weighing.

Responsibilities:

  • Scanning or manually recording product
  • Labelling product
  • Heavy lifting to assist with compliance weighing
  • Completing documentation accurately
  • Assisting Vessel Discharge Coordinator
