Te tūranga | The role:
You will lead the uplift and embedding of ASB's approach to Operational Risk Management, including frameworks, supporting tools and practices. Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation, you will drive sound risk management practices and provide insightful advice across both a divisional and bank-wide level.
You will have a key role to play through contributing at key forums and governance committees, including the Board and liaise with Commonwealth Bank of Australia counterparts on policy and monitoring outcomes, and look for opportunities to leverages common approaches.

As a strategic thinker and someone who understands the commercial objectives of a business, with experience applying operational risk frameworks, you will thrive in an opportunity to drive ongoing uplift in operational risk management across ASB through Line 2 review and challenge. The following will also ensure your success in this role:
- Experience in Operational Risk disciplines ideally gained within large organisations.
- Clear understanding of Three Lines of Accountability, particularly the role that Line 2 plays.
- Experience developing and delivering change.
- Ability to engage easily with senior leaders / executives.
- Business advisory and assurance experience.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
