About the role

We are currently seeking a maintenance person to join the team on a permanent fulltime basis (40 hours per week). You will provide general handy person services to our residents at our Kapiti Village. You will assist with the overall maintenance of our comprehensive range of village facilities. If you have previous experience in building or plumbing, we would be keen to speak with you!

Key tasks:

Provide general maintenance services to our residents in our Village and Care Home assisting with the maintenance of a comprehensive range of village facilities
Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety standards are met and maintained on site
Take responsibility in liaising with residents daily to understand and problem solve any general maintenance issues on site
You will also ensure our modern care home is maintained to national standards

About you

Previous experience as a general handyman or in property maintenance will be highly advantageous. Whilst this is not essential, it is an advantage to have good problem-solving skills and great time management, along with being able to prioritize your workload. Some things that will support your application:

  • Strong focus on Health and Safety standards
  • Confidence and ability to use hand tools, power tools and operate maintenance machinery
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Customer centric approach - driven to deliver outstanding service to our residents
