Looking for a motivated individual to join our team at NZPH. Individual will be tasked with riding and training of young horses and young stock. Horses will range in age from 3 to 7 years old. This position also requires the individual to help with tasks around the farm, including but not limited to harrowing of paddocks, painting fences, feeding of horses and mucking out. This is a full time position located in Te Kowhai, just outside of Hamilton. Individual will need to be responsible and organized to take the young horses to the show on their own, as groom and rider.

Individual must have experience jumping and showing horses up to 1.30m. Individual must have 5 + years of experience riding, training and handling of young horses. This position does not allow for individual to have their personal horse on farm premises.

The minimum hours of work are 6 hours a day , 5.5 days a week with the potential of more hours depending on the needs of the horses and farm. Hourly rate begins at minimum wage and can be adjusted based on applicants experience with a maximum hourly rate of $30 per hour.
