Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Projects and Systems Manager leads and manages finance-related projects and initiatives to enhance and optimize financial systems and processes. This role ensures that financial systems align with Zespri's strategic objectives, drive efficiency, and comply with regulatory requirements. The Finance Projects and Systems Manager oversees system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and user adoption.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Operational Excellence - Establish and chair the Finance’s Operational Excellence Council, lead FLT Operational Excellence meetings, develop and monitor Finance’s Strategic Project plan, and continuously assess and improve financial systems and processes.
- Project Management - Lead finance-related projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- System Management and Optimisation - Oversee the implementation and improvement of financial systems, ensure system accuracy and efficiency, and work with IT for system integration.
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Partner with various finance teams and other departments to meet strategic objectives and compliance requirements, and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Training and Support - Lead training programs for finance teams on systems and processes, and provide ongoing support to end-users.
- Compliance and Risk Management - Ensure financial systems comply with regulations and standards, and identify and mitigate financial and system-related risks.

We are looking for an individual who possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. With a proven track record of successfully managing finance-related projects, you will also possess:
- Ten years’ experience in a global finance function for a large corporate organisation
- A strong understanding of finance processes, data management, and financial systems integration.
- Project Management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- An ability to communicate complex ideas/systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with SAP S4 Hana, GRC and advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel skills
- A Business degree with an Accounting major
- A full membership of ICANZ (or similar)
