About the Company:
Our well-established client specialises in providing top-quality window installations and repairs to both residential and commercial clients. Due to increasing demand, they are now looking for a skilled and motivated Joiner to join their growing team in Dunedin. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to work in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture wooden window frames and related joinery products.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to client specifications and building regulations.
- Install glass panes, seals, and weatherproofing materials to ensure long-lasting durability.
- Adhere to project timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain high safety and quality standards in all work undertaken.
- Collaborate with other team members and tradespeople to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Window Joiner or a relevant trade qualification.
- Strong skills in woodworking, carpentry, and joinery, with a particular focus on Timber Windows & Doors.
- Accuracy and a keen eye for detail, ensuring precision in all aspects of the work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A willingness to learn, show initiative, and contribute ideas to improve processes.
- Understanding of and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills (both written and spoken).
- Safe working practices and a commitment to a tidy, well-maintained work environment.
- Good physical fitness and health, with the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Eligibility to live and work in New Zealand.
- A current NZ driver’s licence.
