The Role

  • You’ll be joining a dynamic and knowledgeable team in Gisborne while also being part of the national geotechnical team.
  • There is a varied and a broad range of projects and clients which will have you exposed to the residential and commercial development sectors as well as infrastructure and local authority projects.
  • They have a strong forward work-load, calling for additional resource at an intermediate level.
  • This role will see you onsite as well as in the office. You’ll be exposed to a range of site investigation techniques and industry software packages for analyses, and you’ll develop technical and reporting skills.
  • The company we help grow you into a well-rounded engineer and with the necessary guidance and support you will become involved with client communications, scoping of work, project management and project budgets right from the start.
  • Being early in your engineering career, a role in Gisborne will provide experience in the challenging geology the region has to offer, providing a solid foundation on which to build your career


About You

  • Bachelor of Science (Geology) (MSc/ PMEG in Engineering Geology preferred but not essential) or Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (Civil) or Washington Accord equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ solid experience.
  • Full and current driver’s license
  • To be keen to get amongst it; and keen to develop your consulting and commercial acumen.
  • The intention to work towards CPEng or PEngGeol would be advantageous.
