Job Description

The purpose of the cleaner position is to provide a range of cleaning services to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The cleaner is further responsible for maintaining a professionally presented and safe environment for our staff and customers.

This position will be based in the newly built Poseidon (P8) Hanger Facility at RNZAF Ohakea. It requires a higher level of security clearance (Secret Vetting) to work in this facility. Information on this requirement can be found Defence-Industry-Security-Guide.pdf (nzdf.mil.nz).

Provides efficient, cleaning service and is responsive to the demands and needs of our customers
Effectively manages time to ensure all cleaning duties are completed within required deadlines.
Uses all equipment in accordance with procedures and instructions and maintains all equipment in a clean condition.
Report faults and damage of or to equipment to supervisor.
Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with team members and always addresses colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
Shows an ability to work well within the team and takes on the responsibility of ensuring all work tasks are completed.
Ensures a safe and hazard free workplace environment by reporting any health and safety hazards. Always complies with the organisation’s occupational health and safety standards.
