Warehouse Supervisor/Manager - Lower Hutt Distribution Client
Location: Gracefield, Lower Hutt
Position: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Are you a seasoned Warehouse Manager with a knack for leadership and logistics? Tradestaff Wellington is partnering with our local Lower Hutt distribution client in Gracefield to find an experienced Warehouse Manager who is ready to take on a new challenge and help streamline their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the reallocation of up to 3000 SKUs, ensuring the warehouse layout is optimized for both storage and retrieval efficiency.
• Improve the efficiency of operations by identifying and implementing process improvements such as optimizing warehouse flow, reducing downtime, and minimizing order picking errors.
• Ensure effective stock placement and stock control throughout the warehouse, developing and maintaining systems that reduce excess inventory and support accurate forecasting.
• Introduce or refine inventory management systems to support smooth workflows.
• Maintain accurate stock records to ensure transparency in stock movements and availability for better planning and decision-making.
• Provide strong leadership to a dynamic warehouse team, training staff on best practices and driving high-performance standards to increase productivity.
• Collaborate closely with other departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment with overall company goals.

Key Focus: Improving Efficiency of Operations
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the efficiency of our client's warehouse operations. This includes:

• Optimizing layout and workflows: By assessing the current warehouse layout and reorganizing it to improve accessibility and reduce unnecessary movement, you will ensure faster processing of orders and fewer delays.
• Implementing best practices: Identify and reduce inefficiencies in processes such as inventory handling, stock replenishment, and order fulfilment.
• Enhancing team productivity: By streamlining operations and improving team coordination, you will help reduce errors, improve picking accuracy, and increase order fulfilment speed, contributing directly to cost savings and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Current OSH/Forklift Licence (essential).
• Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• A keen eye for detail and experience in inventory control and stock management.
