About the Role

This is a permanent full time, 40 hours per week position to join our global team. At Comvita, we embrace flexible working, and this role will allow you to work from home and our offices in Paengaroa. Typically, our team members come to site a few times week for team collaboration and connection so for this reason would prefer applicants come from with a 45-minute commute to our offices in Paengaroa, BOP. 

We are on the lookout for an experienced and strategic Information Technology Manager, reporting to a member of our Leadership team. This role is pivotal in planning and delivering value-effective information services, supporting Comvita’s people and processes, ensuring our technology infrastructure aligns seamlessly with our strategic goals, and keeping our systems cyber-safe. 

As an IT Manager, you will:

Lead the Information Technology function, including applications and systems, business intelligence, and infrastructure.
Ensure service levels are met by managing internal and external IT resources effectively.
Develop and maintain IT strategies and annual work plans in line with Comvita’s strategic direction.
Proactively manage IT risks, ensuring maximum system uptime and robust cybersecurity.
Oversee IT support processes, including service desk operations and change management.
Manage the IT cost centre and budget, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing IT team.

 

What we would like from you

We are seeking a tech-savvy leader with:

A relevant tertiary qualification.
At least 5 years of IT leadership experience in complex, dynamic environments.
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build partnerships across functions and geographies.
Proven experience in managing IT operations, cybersecurity, and strategic planning.
A passion for sustainability and alignment with Comvita’s guiding principles
Take a hands-on approach to infrastructure and network management.
