Job Description

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer for our client in Auckland central. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented engineering team using the latest cloud-native technologies, microservices, and modern frontend frameworks.

Technical Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development with strong expertise in Spring Boot and enterprise application architecture.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
  • Proficiency in frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong database skills with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Proficient in writing unit, integration, and performance tests (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber).
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience and a passion for DevOps culture.
