At our manufacturing plant in Pukete, Hamilton we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our in-house maintenance team of 8 who support our 24/7 operation. This is not just a maintenance job – you'll also be involved in exciting project work that keeps things fresh and challenging.

What you’ll be doing

Perform essential maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
Act as a backup to our Reliability Engineer.
Participate in innovative projects, contributing to the design, installation, and commissioning of new systems.
Normal hours Mon – Fri 7:30am – 4pm
Be available for on-call duties after hours as per our rotating roster.

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in General Engineering/Maintenance Fitting.
Ability to prioritize tasks while considering commercial and health & safety requirements.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with key plant stakeholders.
Leadership in Health & Safety guidelines and procedures.
Supervision of contractors on-site when necessary.
Capability to work autonomously and independently.
Ability to undertake limited electrical work is a plus.
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
