Mechanical Engineering Technician – 4+ Month Contract

  • Auckland | $50 – $80 per hour | Leading Maintenance Development Team


We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join a high-performing maintenance development team on a 4+ month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced mechanical systems, focusing on reliability, preventative maintenance, and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on complex mechanical systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve system inefficiencies.
  • Utilise CMMS software to track performance, optimise maintenance schedules, and drive efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and industry safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve maintenance strategies.


About You:

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, reliability, or engineering support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
  • Strong understanding of safety compliance and risk assessment.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in Marine or Aviation Engineering is advantageous
