Location: Palmerston North
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30/3:00 PM (occasional weekend work)
Salary: $91,000 per year
About the Role:
Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Assistant Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at their Palmerston North branch. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage a dedicated team, optimize processes, and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a production team to meet and exceed daily operational targets.
- Oversee staff attendance, productivity, and performance, ensuring smooth operations.
- Be hands-on, providing support on the floor and resolving issues as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement through training, development, and process optimization.
- Assist with key operational tasks, including performance reviews and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, fostering a safe work environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in people management.
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks in a fast-paced environment (such as helping on the production floor when needed)
- Hands-on problem-solving ability, including training staff directly.
- Experience in laundry or a similar industry is preferred.
