About the role and who we are looking for:

Our ESS team are looking for a permanent full-time Catering Assistant to work at our Defence site in Trentham, Upper Hutt. Hours of work are rostered across 7 days per week, flexibility is required including early morning and evening's shifts.

You will be responsible for:

• general café duties,
• front of house,
• clearing tables,
• dishwashing,
• basic food preparation and presentation,
• providing professional customer service
• assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.

Ideal skills and experience you will have:

• energetic person with a great customer service and team player focus
• multitasker, organised, hardworking, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
• some experience working in a similar position
• hold a food safety (Unit Standard 167) or be happy to train for one.
