About the Role

An opportunity has become available for a Designer / Estimator in either Masterton or Palmerston North NZ for Downer’s Energy & Utilities business unit reporting to the Design Manager. The Designer/ Estimator will provide quality engineering design and estimation services, quotations. The ideal candidate will envision themselves attending to duties such as:

Pricing and estimating accurately to ensure profitable outcomes on all projects.
Design and Modelling of overhead and underground distribution networks.
Manage projects where appropriate.
Contribute to streamlining and growing the CIW business.
Mentor junior designers in the CIWR space.
Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures.

About You

Estimation and design experience preferred.
Exposure within electrical distribution networks desirable.
A high standard of Computer literacy.
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
Solid time management and organisational skills.
