Job Description

The Roles:

Our client is looking for passionate, dedicated individuals to join their growing team in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. If you have experience in road construction, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and prioritize safety and quality, we want to hear from you! We have multiple roles available:

Foreman

Lead their Asphalt team, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and safely. You will coordinate plant, labour, subcontractors, and suppliers while fostering a work environment that puts safety and quality first.

  • Key Requirements:
  • 5+ years of construction experience
  • Current Class 1 licence (Class 5 and WTR endorsement preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and deliver plans



Quality Assurance Technician

Ensure the quality of their asphalt materials by conducting testing, recording, analysing, and reporting results. You'll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production crews to resolve quality issues and maintain high standards.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Experience in asphalt quality control or similar
  • Strong understanding of NZ infrastructure standards (NZTA M10)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail



Asphalt Supervisor

Lead and supervise asphalt crews to deliver high-quality results. Monitor asphalt laying, rolling, and finishing, conduct site inspections, and manage quality control processes. You'll work in a supportive team environment that prioritizes safety and productivity.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in asphalt operations and team supervision
  • Strong understanding of paving techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills



General Workers/Asphalt Labourers

Join their team as a General Labourer, helping with asphalt site preparation and maintenance. If you're ready to work in a hands-on role and support your team in a busy and varied environment, this is for you!

  • Key Requirements:
  • Minimum Class 1 license required
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment under supervision
  • Strong commitment to safety and a positive team culture



MIller Operator

Become part of the team as a Miller Operator, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Wirtgen miller while upholding our commitment to safety and quality in all operations.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Experience operating a Wirtgen miller or similar machinery
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with work instructions
  • General maintenance experience and awareness of best practices
