Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Experience within the Steel and/or Construction Industry

• Previous experience working with steel structures or in construction.
• Familiarity with structural steel components, fasteners, and installation methods.

Ability to Erect Steel

• Lifting, positioning, and securing steel beams, columns, and frames.
• Working with cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment to manoeuvre heavy steel components.
• Aligning and bolting/welding steel structures to specifications.

Ability to Use Hand and Power Tools

• Proficient in using impact wrenches, grinders, drills, and other power tools.
• Competence with hand tools like spanners, levels, and measuring tapes.

Work as Part of a Team and Follow Instructions

• Collaborating with site supervisors, riggers, and welders.
• Following construction plans, site instructions, and safety guidelines.

Site Safe

• Understanding and adhering to workplace health and safety protocols.
• Ensuring compliance with construction site regulations.

Pass a Drug Test

• Must be able to pass a Drug test

Reliable Transport

• Getting to and from work sites on time, ensuring punctuality.

NZ Residency or Valid Work Visa Required

• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
