He angitūtanga / The opportunity:
Compass Group NZ are calling for Expression of Interests for multiple Kitchen Assistants to join our dynamic team at Central Production Kitchen in Eden Park, Auckland Central. You will play a crucial role in delivering quality catering services to our customers. This position involves receiving, reheating, dispatching, and preparing meals while ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures. This is a casual position on "as and when" required basis upon business needs.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Receiving Delivered Meals: Monitor and record temperatures, handle corrective actions, and ensure HACCP compliance.
- Storing and Preparing Meals: Thaw goods, load oven cassettes, and prepare paperwork for delivery.
- Reheating Meals: Reheat meals to instructed temperatures, monitor and record end-point cook temps, and ensure HACCP compliance.
- Dispatch Responsibilities: Pack meals into Cambro boxes, sort boxes for delivery routes, and clean ovens and premises.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and welcoming service, respond to customer requests, and maintain clean dining/kitchen areas.

- Team Player: Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment and operating standard kitchen cleaning equipment.
- Skills: Good communication skills, physically fit, and reliable.
- Qualifications: NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) is desirable.
