For over 35 years, Odyssey House Trust Christchurch has been working with clients affected by drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and related issues. We focus on the wellbeing of individuals, family and community.

We are looking for a Peer Support worker with lived experience of alcohol or other drug addiction to work with clients in the community. You will work within a supportive team to co-facilitate groups and meet with clients individually using your lived experience to support them through treatment.

The preferred applicant will:

  • Have a Level 4 Mental Health and Addictions qualification (or be willing to work towards this)
  • Lived experience of addiction and treatment
  • Communicate effectively with groups and individuals
  • Be living in recovery for at least 2 years
  • Work flexibly throughout the week in normal business hours and an evening as rostered
