Position specifics:

  • We are seeking an experienced Service Manager who has a technical background in the automotive industry but would also like to hear from experienced Mechanics looking to take the step up into Management.
  • Customer Service must be your key priority whilst thriving on organising a busy service workshop.
  • This is a full-time position is based at our Hawkes Bay Branch at 23 Cadbury Road, Napier.


About the role

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Management of technicians
  • Organising workshop breakdowns & servicing
  • Ensuring smooth running service operation
  • Workshop Administration
  • Keep clients informed and up to date with how jobs are progressing
  • Preparing Quotes/Estimates
  • Actively Managing Work In Progress


Skills and Experience

You will play a key role in managing the day-to-day job allocations, providing customer support and overseeing out team of technicians performing a variety of jobs both onsite and offsite, and therefore the following attributes will be favouable:

  • Relevant industry experience supervising technicians.
  • Technical know-how including product knowledge advantageous.
  • Strong multi-tasking, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to generate and maintain service work to keep the team busy.
  • Ability to lead from the front when needed and complete the necessary admin work that comes with the role.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Management Teams to align service goals with overall business objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills that leads to good customer service.
  • Physically fit, able to travel and must have full NZ driver's license.
