Te Tūranga – About the role
Are you passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions and leading teams to success? As an SAP Test Lead at Foodstuffs North Island, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the testing landscape across a wide range of business domains. You will lead a team of test professionals, ensuring rigorous quality standards, efficient test cycles, and the adoption of best-in-class testing methodologies. Your leadership will drive test automation, process improvement, and high performance, enabling FSNI to deliver exceptional applications that power our business forward.

In this role, you'll balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution, collaborating with stakeholders, coaching team members, and refining testing processes. Your ability to manage test planning, execution, and automation will ensure software releases are robust, reliable, and aligned with business needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & Manage – Oversee a team of test professionals, ensuring high performance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Drive Test Strategy – Define test plans, implement best practices, and uphold FSNI’s QA policies to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Automate & Innovate – Champion test automation, integrating the latest tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and confidence in software releases.
• Collaborate & Communicate – Partner with end-users, developers, and stakeholders to align testing with business needs, ensuring seamless delivery.
• Continuous Improvement – Encourage innovation, upskill team members, and evolve FSNI’s testing discipline to be a re-usable, strategic asset.

He kōrero mōu - About you
You are a seasoned QA professional with deep expertise in SAP testing, a passion for quality, and a drive for continuous improvement. With over a decade of experience in software testing, including at least four years leading SAP test teams, you bring a wealth of knowledge in test strategy, defect management, and automation. Your ability to navigate complex, enterprise-scale Agile environments makes you a valuable asset in ensuring FSNI’s digital solutions are robust, scalable, and high-performing.

Beyond your technical expertise, you are an influential leader and problem-solver, able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels—technical and non-technical. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities while mentoring and upskilling your team. Your proactive approach to risk management, strategic mindset, and passion for innovation ensure that FSNI continues to deliver world-class software solutions.

Key Skills & Experience:

• SAP Testing Expertise – Extensive experience leading SAP testing, particularly in Finance, Procurement, or Sales & Distribution modules.
• Technical & Agile Mindset – Strong understanding of Agile (SCRUM, SAFe), automation tools (Selenium, TOSCA), and virtualisation services.
• Leadership & Mentoring – Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing test teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Strong communication and negotiation skills, effectively managing risks and aligning testing with business goals.
• Continuous Improvement – Passionate about staying ahead of industry trends, optimising test processes, and driving quality at scale.
