Job Description
Pucci is looking for a new dog handler and bus driver to join the team. This is a part-time role, requiring 25 to 30 hours per week, from Tuesday to Friday, with split shifts. Applicants must also be able to cover a Monday shift if needed. Our day starts at 6:50 AM and ends between 4:00 and 4:30 PM. More information will be provided to successful applicants.
Job Description:
- Caring for the dogs and maintaining their safety at all times, handling both big and small dogs, providing training, monitoring play levels, and managing accordingly.
- Being confident with dogs of all sizes and different breeds.
- Must have a full, clean NZ driver’s license.
- Driving a vehicle with dogs, picking them up and dropping them off in a safe manner while following policies and procedures. All our vehicles are automatic.
- Taking care of a vehicle to a high standard and following policies and procedures.
- A passion for dog training.
- Experience working with dogs.
- Fit and motivated: This role entails a lot of driving, walking, dog handling, dealing with customers, and cleaning.
- Able to take instructions and feedback from senior handlers.
- Good at multitasking.
- Good at working in a small team.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to remain calm and patient while under pressure.
- Have initiative.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Cleaning the facility (mopping, sweeping, cleaning up after dogs, changing drinking water, replenishing cleaning stations, cleaning toilets, disposing of rubbish, and all other general cleaning duties within the facility, as instructed).
- Maintaining a high level of customer service during pick-up and drop-off.
- Performing administrative tasks such as emails and the booking system, if required.
- Taking photos/videos and uploading them to Facebook daily for the upkeep of our social media outlets, if required.
- Opening and closing the facility and handling keys.
- Maintaining Pucci equipment, including cleaning equipment, fences, gates, etc.
- Supporting and assisting Pucci for continued growth and development.
- Maintaining a high level of health and safety for both yourself and the dogs.
- Having pet first aid certification is a bonus.
- Any other reasonable duties required of the employee by the employer.
Full training will be provided by Pucci DayCare for Dogs.
