Whakarongorau supports a range of primary care clinics across Aotearoa, providing continuity of care for primarily high-needs rural communities and priority populations.
Mō tēnei tūranga | About the role
This is a contract role for clinics (Monday – Friday primarily).
As a Mātanga Tapuhi (Nurse Practitioner) with Whakarongorau you will:
Provide care tailored to meet the unique needs of registered patients, collaborate with clinics to deliver optimal healthcare services, conduct remote telehealth consultations and understand local services and work to overcome access barriers.
Qualifications
Mōu ake | About you
You will be a Mātanga Tapuhi (Nurse Practitioner) with appropriate experience in Primary Care who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to rural, high-needs and our vulnerable communities, who face many challenges and barriers to access quality health care. You will be committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, patient-whanau centred care, and able to working collaboratively with the clinic team.
Ōu āheitanga ōu pūkenga hoki - Skills and competence
- Strong communication, relationship-building & Teamwork skills
- Experience in remote work is preferable but not essential
- Confidence in using various Patient Management Systems
- Commitment to a recurrent roster
- Integrate understanding and learnings of Te Ao Māori, Tikanga and Te Reo into approach and delivery of care
- Ngā Herenga Hangarau - Technology Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high-speed fibre internet connection & a high-spec computer capable of handling high-demand software
- A multi-screen setup, headset, printer, and scanner
- Ētahi Atu Herenga - Other Needs
- You will need a private space to work from that ensures the confidentiality of conversations, documents, and technology.
