About the Role
As a Volunteer Le Roys Bush Ambassador, you'll be a vital part of our team, contributing to the ongoing preservation and enhancement of Le Roys Bush. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature, contribute to a meaningful cause, and meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for conservation. You'll play a key role in supporting our environmental restoration and community engagement efforts.
This Role Will Involve
One or two hours a year door knocking at designated houses/businesses in your local, talking to the occupants about the impact of weeds on Le Roys Bush, looking at the property (if they give permission), and then reporting back to the project coordinator. No actual weed control is required.
But if you wish, joining our team could also open the way to other activities such as:
- Participating in regular volunteer working bees, contributing to tasks such as weeding, planting native species, and general habitat restoration. πΏ
- Assisting with community engagement initiatives, helping to educate the public about the importance of preserving Le Roys Bush and its unique ecosystem. π£οΈ
- Supporting the group's advocacy efforts, potentially assisting with communication materials or attending community events. π’
- Contributing to the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the bush, helping to ensure its long-term health and sustainability. π

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
