Job Description

Mō mātou - About us

Our Enliven services create age-friendly communities where people are happy and thrive, regardless of their age or ability. Our homes and villages are places where older people have companionship, choice, variety, fun, meaningful activity and a sense of purpose.

Kandahar Court is like any caring family home. There’s lots of love and laughter here! There are also lots of shared spaces, including a domestic style kitchen and dining room, lounges, gardens and courtyards that residents and their visitors use to socialise, do activities and host visitors. But Kandahar Court is more than bricks and mortar; it’s a place of connection, compassion and understanding. We take every opportunity to make sure residents have companionship, spontaneity, meaningful activity, a sense of purpose and fun in their lives. The Kandahar Court team support residents to continue with hobbies, family traditions and personal routines in a way that’s right for them.

Our practical approach to dementia care, based on Dementia Care International’s unique Spark of Life philosophy, supports us to interact with residents in a way that keeps them connected to the world around them. It often results in improvement in language, memory, self-esteem and social interactions.

The residents tell us they love the friendly, vibrant and family-focused atmosphere. Of course, they love the beautiful views and atmosphere.
