He aha te mahi? What's the role?

Providing functional support to the Supply Network Planner, the Supply Network Analyst will be involved in consolidating information from demand, supply and shipping to develop departure plans and associated planned orders in preparation for order execution. Furthermore, the role will provide assistance to measure performance and effectiveness of Supply Network Planning activities, primarily to feed into the Sales and Operations Planning / IBP process.

This position acts as the conduit between demand and supply management and will be instrumental in the analysis of weekly operational logistics plans that meet all of the organisation’s objectives in preparation for seasonal execution. This includes ongoing review and maintenance of plans as the season progresses.

Accountabilities include:

Develop and maintain a framework for reporting operational performance relative to plans
Collaborate with key business teams to deliver on time planning results with significant confidence
Assist with analysis of Departure/Arrival Plan performance, proactive issue resolution, continuous improvement of business process, information sharing and integration
Check and maintain accurate SNP master data (stock policy build parameters, Shipping lane closures, transport lanes, capacities in IBP etc)
Receive and review information feeds from Sales Forecast (SF), Official Supply Estimate (OSE) and Transport Management as inputs to IBP tool
Run the IBP optimisation tool – create and maintain IBP plans
Validate the resulting arrivals and departure plans are balanced post optimisation and the produced results indicate valid business capability to execute at a detailed level
Engage with relevant stakeholders (Market Supply Co-Ordinator’s, Shipping Teams, and in market IBP and Operational teams) to ensure plan alignment
Assist with season start early supply variance analysis
Be an advocate for continuous improvement and work with colleagues to drive efficiency and optimise processes within NZ Supply Team
Contribute to improving and developing the understanding of operational data across the NZ Supply Team as required during the NZ supply season

This is a 12-month fixed-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

A Tertiary Qualification in Commerce or Supply Chain Management
3-5 years’ experience in a commercial environment
Excellent working knowledge of IT packages, Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
Strong technical and functional capability and experience in SAP
Ability to communicate and work with a wide and diverse range of people including external solution support staff (technical & functional eg: SAP support, staff from different business areas, and third party IS support partners)
