We have an exciting 12-month fixed term / secondment opportunity for a Senior Product Manager within Everyday Banking Product reporting to the Head Of Everyday Banking Products. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of professionals who are passionate about products, propositions and great customer experiences. This is an influential role which drives the execution of the unsecured lending credit risk strategy to deliver commercial objectives and support outstanding customer outcomes.

Te Tūranga | The role:

  • As a Senior Product Manager, your passion and expertise in credit risk strategy optimisation, innovation and product development will position ASB to deliver products and experiences that customers love!
  • You'll provide thought leadership for key strategic themes within the product portfolio which deliver credible roadmaps to meet ASB's strategic objectives.
  • You'll identify opportunities and develop clear, articulate and commercially sound recommendations which ensure credit strategy is competitively optimised.
  • You'll work across the organisation to support the delivery of initiatives within the product portfolio roadmap ranging from minor feature change to large-scale complex changes.
  • You'll ensure our products deliver to ASB's purpose, brand and customer expectations.
  • Being part of our Personal Banking Product Practice, you will also support the development of excellence in our Product craft, driving a continuous learning culture, sharing knowledge and upskilling each other.


Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?

You're known for your customer centric mindset, people centred approach and openness to new ideas. You are experienced in product strategy, credit risk management and/or credit policy, including ownership and execution of strategic priorities to optimise credit risk (minimum 6 years). Ideally you will have deep knowledge of personal banking products (specifically Personal Loans, Credit Cards, and Overdrafts).

The skills necessary to engage a broad range of senior stakeholders are essential and you will be valued for your ability to deliver compelling insights and recommendations to all audiences. With the pragmatism to drive delivery and change at pace, you will possess strong business acumen and an ability to prioritise what is important and impactful.

You'll be keen to provide thought leadership for strategic, process and operational improvements, challenging things we are not comfortable with, so that we get better all the time.
