ABOUT THE ROLE:
Brand-new position you can make your own. Our client is cool, the work is varied, and the office is located at the top of a chicken farm!

This role will give you the opportunity to utilise your financial management skills with the variety of project estimating, tendering and quoting. We are on the hunt for a down to earth Finance Extraordinaire or QS who thinks on their feet, sees a problem - solves it, and is excited to embrace a new challenge every day.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Oversee project estimation, tendering and quoting in conjunction with GM's and Branch Managers
• Follow up on leads and negotiate rates
• Ability to calculate a quote to determine the appropriate price
• Claims and cashflow management
• Financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
• Accounts receivable and debtor management
• Relationship building with suppliers and clients
• Experience with Xero essential

ABOUT YOU
With previous financial or QS experience, you will be self-motivated, solutions focused and able to work autonomously. Driven by attention to detail and with the ability to juggle multiple tasks you will have the opportunity implement efficiency improvements.

This is a fantastic position to showcase your full suite of skills. A financial qualification and experience within the construction industry or similar would be preferred but not essential.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our client specialises in civil landscaping, streetscapes, developments, re-vegetation, erosion control & environmental works for land development projects throughout New Zealand.

For more than 40 years they have work across a range of industries including Retirement Villages, Council Contracts, Roading Construction, Subdivisions, Infrastructure Projects & Forestry and been extensively involved in the rehabilitation of mines, landfills & quarries. In the domestic market they provide lawn & landscaping services for both residential & commercial customers. With a staff of 110 and locations in Auckland, Waikato, Lower North Island and Christchurch who would have thought this company works out of little ole Pokeno from a Chicken Farm!
