THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a tech-savvy problem-solver to step into the exciting world of broadcasting as an Associate Engineer – Audio and Video. This role is all about keeping our audio and video systems running smoothly, ensuring that our live broadcasts and digital media productions go off without a hitch. You’ll be working hands-on with cutting-edge equipment, tackling challenges head-on, and collaborating with a passionate team to deliver exceptional results.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT:

  • Provide training to users on system functionalities.

ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for a proactive individual with:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in technical support, preferably with AV systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of studio AV systems, vMix, NDI, SRT, RTMP or related software and protocols.
  • Understanding of live news environments and their software/hardware needs.
  • Basic networking and IT infrastructure knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).

WHAT’S ON OFFER:

This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to join one of New Zealand’s most dynamic media organisations. You’ll have the chance to work with innovative technology, grow your expertise, and contribute to projects that make a real impact.

In return, we offer a modern well-equipped office based in Central Auckland that boasts not only radio studios but newsroom hubs, multiple breakout areas and our popular iHeart lounge that hosts a variety of internal events. You’ll receive ongoing training, and a supportive team culture where your ideas and passion are valued. Plus, you’ll get to be part of an industry that’s always evolving – and where no two days are ever the same.

If you’re ready to take your technical skills to the next level and be part of a team that thrives on innovation, apply now and let’s make an impact!
