My client is privately owned global sporting brand with significant operations in NZ, rolling up to the APAC region. The NZ business is circa $50M and continues to grow market share. The brand is well known and globally has been in rampant growth mode. This is a dynamic industry and if you love to be part of a sporting brand, this is an opportunity not to be missed. The Role
The role of FM NZ will report to the ANZ Financial Controller based in Melbourne. You will have responsibilities for the following:

• Full financial overview of the NZ business including preparation and review of monthly financial statements, tax, annual audit, cost control and financial planning &analysis
• Responsible for maintaining a strong control environment
• Review & analyse financial and management reports and prepare commentary thereon providing insights into performance and opportunities
• Prepare budgets & forecasts, and business partner the business through regular performance reviews
• Play a key role in the annual strategic planning process
• Perform treasuring function – maintain cashflow optimally, and manage banking facilities and compliance
• Inventory management – oversee standard costing of inventory across all channels, oversee forecasting and demand planning
• Audit management
• Manage the tax & statutory reporting requirements, including transfer pricing
• Business Partner operations to ensure efficiency
• Be a point of contact for the legal department and including managing lease agreements
• Indirect management of the IT department
• Prepare annual insurance renewals and manage any claims
• Staff management and development of the finance team
• Participate in projects as required.

Your profile:
To be considered for this role you must be CA or equivalent qualified. You will be comfortable owning the NZ finance function and have the following attributes:

• A positive and growth mindset
• Strong attention to detail & accuracy
• A desire to grow and learn
• Strong all round accounting experience where you have been across the full finance function
• Preferably staff management experience
• Strong Statutory reporting and IFRS knowledge
• Retail experience or wholesale would be a strong preference
• Business partnering capability with an ability to tell the story behind the numbers
