Associate Director, Sustainable Finance Solutions

  • Permanent Full-time role
  • Based in Britomart, Auckland

The team primarily focuses on enabling large businesses to align their financing with their sustainability goals in alignment with domestic and global best practice while being innovative and connected to global markets.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
The role involves you:

  • Helping our customers achieve their sustainability goals by structuring financial solutions that align with global sustainable finance principles and best practice.
  • Developing and maintaining solid and enduring internal and external relationships at many levels across the business.
  • Working closely across many groups in Westpac who serve our business customers.
  • Following and improving upon operational processes.
  • Leveraging strong transaction and project management skills to support business customers to execute their sustainable finance transactions efficiently and on time.
  • Leading research and analysis on sustainable finance market trends and data.
  • Presenting on sustainable finance at internal and external events.

This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about sustainability and sustainable finance and looking to join a market-leading team in a competitive and exciting industry, where you will have an opportunity to reach your true potential.

You will:
have earned one or more tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or similar;

  • be able to demonstrate strong research and analytical skills, experience and deep knowledge in sustainability (particularly climate change);
  • have a proven interest and capability in sustainable finance, and the role that capital can play in helping achieve global sustainability goals and making the financial system more sustainable;
  • be able to demonstrate very strong verbal and written communication skills with an excellent attention to detail; and
  • have a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and be able to prepare and deliver high quality presentations.
