Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the AI Transformation Programme Manager at One New Zealand, you will be the driving force behind the execution of our AI transformation initiatives. Working closely with the Chief AI and Data Director, you will ensure the seamless delivery of high-impact AI projects, focusing on operational excellence, measurable outcomes, and stakeholder alignment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives on execution and delivering tangible results.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

Translate the AI transformation strategy into actionable project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
Coordinate multiple workstreams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of AI initiatives.
Implement robust programme management practices to track progress, mitigate risks, and address challenges proactively.
Establish and maintain a high standard of executional excellence across all projects.
Develop frameworks and templates to streamline project workflows and enhance efficiency.
Monitor and report on KPIs to measure the performance and impact of AI projects.
Act as the central point of contact for internal teams, ensuring alignment across business units, technical teams, and external partners.
Facilitate regular updates and status reports for senior executives and other key stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively and objectives are met.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
Address issues swiftly and effectively to maintain momentum and avoid disruptions.

Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a Master’s degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
Extensive experience in programme management with the ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables, preferably in AI, technology, or telecommunications.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget, with an emphasis on operational excellence.
The Ability to articulate project updates, challenges, and successes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, ensuring projects stay on track.
Familiarity with AI technologies, data systems, and their applications in a business context is preferred but not essential.
