Parks & Community Facilities (PCF) is committed to making great places Aucklanders love while supporting a number of related services such as asset management and renewals of existing structures and open areas. Committed to a lifecycle approach to asset management, we work to build, maintain and renew our world class community buildings and public spaces including parks, walkways, libraries and leisure centres.

We currently have a leadership opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as the Manager of Planning and Reporting. This role holds significant importance as it encompasses responsibilities related to strategic development, risk management and non-financial performance reporting. We are seeking a dynamic individual who can lead a team, inspire innovation, and ensure the seamless flow of information to support decision-making.

As the Manager of Planning and Reporting, you will oversee non-financial performance tracking, planning, monitoring, and reporting for the department. This includes managing key performance indicators for contractors and responsibilities related to the Iauditor auditing tool. You will be responsible for local board reporting dashboards, data collection, and consolidation. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in automating data/information availability for Area Operations teams working with suppliers and local boards. Coordinating the department's risk register and business planning process will also be part of your responsibilities.

Your expertise will be vital in linking and consolidating all necessary information to provide a comprehensive view of operational performance.

With a bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification in a commerce, finance or other relevant field, you’ll come with a solid track record of delivering results and innovation in a finance/business analysis and reporting environment. At this level, it goes without saying that your financial and business acumen are second to none and you are always striving for process improvement and efficiency.

You’ll have the ability to build and lead effective, successful and motivated teams, and be known for developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, business owners and customers. As a confident and articulate communicator you’ll be capable of influencing and inspiring strong collaboration internally and externally. Given the nature of the role and the work of the team, it is essential that you lead by example with your attention to detail, high level of accuracy and your ability to quickly analyse and report on large volumes of data. Experience using Excel, Sentient, SAP, SharePoint and Power BI are essential.
