About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

This is a contract role for a registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our team in the Dunedin region working across a number of clients and contracts. Being a community-based role, the successful candidate will be comfortable working in homes, community and workplace settings. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and work with people from all walks of life so someone who thrives in a people-based role will get a real kick out of the variety in this position!

You will have the opportunity to be a part of our client’s rehabilitation journey and see the results of your work. We pride ourselves on our relationships with the community, clients and colleagues so if you’re someone who thrives in a collaborative, supported role then we want to hear from you! You’ll be working in schools, homes, businesses and the wider community so we are looking for a candidate who gets a real kick out of collaboration and supporting client’s across their recovery.

The successful candidate will be required to travel across the Dunedin region so you will need to be comfortable driving and have a full clean NZ drivers licence.

What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga

  • 2+ years’ experience as a NZ Registered Occupational Therapist OR Physiotherapist, post graduate qualification in Vocational Rehab is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Current NZ Registration with NZOT or NZPT.
  • Passion to continue to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • An awareness of Health Legislation and the NZ health funding systems.
  • Ability to travel and work autonomously.
