About the opportunity: We are looking for experienced Piling Rig Operator/Dogmen for a large on-going project in Auckland. This is a temp assignment that will initially go for 3 months but is likely to extend.
You will work within our client's established rigging team to be involved in:
Operating Piling rigs for driving or drilling piles across projects
Conduct daily machine safety checks
Ensure precise placement of piles according to project specifications
Direct workers engagement in operating machines to drive piling and sheets
Adhere to health and safety legislation
Maintain accurate logs and reports
Read and Interpret gauges, meters and instruments
About the Company: Our Client is highly experienced and technical piling teams who have been in the piling industry for 20 years and have worked with Tier 1 main contractors to achieve major projects across New Zealand.
Skills + Experience:
To apply you will need:
Certificate for Rigging & Crane Operation (NZQA Unit Standards 3789, 3801, 3795, 3794)
EWP Certified
2+ years experience as an operator, Crawler Crane experience in piling, civil earthworks or mining
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
Strong Leadership and time management skills
Ability to solve problems quickly and communicate with construction workers on site
A full NZ Driver's Licence and a clean criminal record
Must pass drug test
Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
It would also be preferable for you to have:
Tower Crane driving experience
Mobile Crane driving experience
Fork hoist licence
