About The Role

We have a unique opportunity for someone looking for a permanent role in our Equipment Reliability Maintenance Team. The days of work will be Thursday to Monday. Shift options are;

  • Afternoon Shift hours from 4.00pm to 12.00am
  • Night Shift hours from 11.30pm to 7.30am


Your primary role will be to carry out scheduled compliance maintenance tasks as well as the diagnosis & repair of unscheduled stoppages in a safe & timely manner and to share your ideas forward on how to improve overall operation productivity and processes in a large manufacturing environment, based in Highbrook.



The skills and experience required for the role are:

  • A NZ trade qualification (or NZQA equivalent) or a Diploma / Degree in Electronic Electro-Mechanical/Electrical Engineering field
  • Ideally 5 years' experience or proven track records in electrical instrumentation calibration and automated manufacturing equipment maintenance will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant work experience in a Medical Industry with High Mixed High Volume (HMHV) manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of measurement and calibration procedures & ability to describe and interpret calibration certificates, labels, and reports
  • Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatics and hydraulic schematics as well as mechanical specifications will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of electromechanical manufacturing equipment repair & maintenance with PLCs fault finding skills will be an added advantage
  • Independent, excellent organizational skills with ability to plan, prioritize projects under work pressure environment
  • Experience in using software such as SAP, Computerised Maintenance Management System and Solidworks software has an added advantage
  • Excellent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point presentation



Attention to detail, the ability to be able to work autonomously when required, a methodical and practical approach to fault finding and problem solving, team values, communication skills combined with a strong customer focus are critical for this role.
