Job Description
Madison has partnered with a well-known Commercial Cleaning Company looking for a Trainer to join their team as they grow. Our client is a proven and award-winning company providing commercial cleaning and building services to companies throughout New Zealand.
About the role: As the Trainer your role will primarily comprise of training new franchise owners on the company standards and processes for commercial cleaning. The other half of the role is managing your own schedule efficiently to ensure all training requests are being met. This role requires you to travel to locations outside of Auckland. Most travel will be driving distance from Auckland, but on occasion may require overnight stays or to travel by flight. A company vehicle will be provided and all travel expenses covered.
Day to Day responsibilities:
- Delivering classroom sessions and demonstrations on commercial cleaning standards and best practices
- Creating and presenting training content
- Managing your own schedule to arrange on-site training with new franchise owners
- Delegating training and shadow training with existing franchisees
- Maintaining up to date records and administrative tasks
Days and Hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Hours require flexibility as on-site training sessions are conducted outside of business hours, usually in the evening. This will likely require later start and later finish to ensure requests are being met. Occasionally there may be weekend work required but this is a rare occurrence.
About You:
You will have a strong background in commercial cleaning with at least 5 years of experience including at least 2 years’ experience as a supervisor or team leader. Having Hands-on experience in special works such as carpet cleaning, strip & seal, and scrubbing is preferred but not required.
- 5 years minimum experience in commercial cleaning and 2 years within a leadership or supervisor position
- Excellent time-management and ability to plan your weeks ahead for training sessions to be conducted
- Experience using Microsoft systems including MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
- A Full, Clean Driver’s License is required
- NZQA Cleaning level 2 and 3 is preferred but can be completed at later date
